Description
​
The CLIMBucknell Challenge Course at the Cowan Forrest Brown Conference Center features low and high elements, a climbing tower and a zip line. The course is an educational space designed to teach students, faculty, staff and outside groups leadership, group dynamics, risk assessment, safety and something about themselves.

Duties
​
A Challenge Course Facilitator must have strong desire to help participants and colleagues seek and learn from a variety of challenges. In this position you will be responsible for devising, setting up, teaching and safely guiding multiple participants through a series of programmed elements to achieve their desired outcomes by way of experiential learning in a professional manner. The facilitator will use the CLIMBucknell course to provide an opportunity for groups to recognize and safely reach their potential. This will include promoting self confidence, positive group dynamics, providing feedback and the expansion of their problem solving abilities. The goals of the facilitator will be to foster Challenge, Leadership, Innovation and Motivation at Bucknell.

Minimum Qualifications
​
We are in search of motivated students, bot eligible and not-eligible for work study, who are willing to begin work this fall semester and continue on our team for every semester during their time at Bucknell. Prior experience is great, but NOT required. OEL will provide the required 40 hour training of CLIMBucknell's Facilitator Training, and CPR & First Aid certification and training. A facilitator will be working outdoors (exposed to the elements), and must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 35 pounds. The 40 hour training will take place over 2 weekends as well as a Technical Training at the Climbing Wall and a classroom session.
