About the Experience
The OEL Climbing Wall is located in the Bucknell Field House and showcases a significant bouldering wall, Moonboard and training wall. The Climbing Wall is an inviting place on campus for new and seasoned climbers to practice their skills, share experience, and socialize. The Climbing Wall works to support students by consistently offering new and inventive climbing routes, as well as a variety of programs and educational clinics.
Climbing Wall Attendants are expected to supervise guests of the climbing wall during regularly posted open hours (in three-hour shifts), provide excellent customer service and risk management, and teach guests about use of the climbing wall space. Climbing Wall Attendants may also be asked to assist with occasional special events such as climbing competitions, black light climbing, clinics, etc.

Prior experience and familiarity with climbing is welcomed, but not required for this position. By the end of training, new hires are expected to have a minimum basic knowledge of climbing technique and current routes in order to assist guests as they climb.
